The Complete Guide To Recover Accidentally Deleted Post in Blogger (Draft)

(In this article you are going to find the solution of one of the most annoying and terrifying problem (if you don't know the solution) that you can ever face i.e. accidentally or sometimes automatically deleted blogger post.)

Looking down at the efforts of a writer it never seems that it might have been a roaring struggle for him to put down a piece of content by the readers perspective.

But if you are on the writer's place you can actually feel the heavy weight of some of the efforts that he boils down to create a masterpiece of content.

Although I agree that some exponential difference may exist between creating a standard piece of content and some really jaw-dropping outstanding article.

But, know what whenever these efforts are shackled or sometimes pulled apart by some silly mistakes done by you (which is rare) or someone else or most often by machine (software or hardware) then it is like beating up your patience in front of you.

Yes it was really difficult for me to keep my patience up when I was working on my 2000+ tiny monster size articles.

I could not actually remember how much I just put out to reach at the closing line to 2000 when suddenly some scripts were just interrupted and within a flash of second my whole article went off.

I didn't look at what actually happened because I had lost my temper at that moment and next time I caught myself blogging was after quite a long time period.

Well, I think you might have went through these problems that's why I think we met here or maybe you are getting yourself upright to tackle any such mishap.

Basically there are few unique ways in which we are going to resolve the issue of accidentally deleting blog post which could be a draft or a published post in case.

1) Recovering From Browser History (published and draft).

This one is pretty simple and can get your work done most of the time.

This method is recommended if your deleted post is a draft which
you have not published yet but can work for published posts also if you have made recent visit to it.

And it would work only if you are not using incognito mode of your browser i.e. not saving your personal history.

Now if your post got deleted by you or somebody else although you had a strict eye on it.

Then don't worry anymore go to your Browser -> History and look for that post address or URL.

Once you found it click on it and open it. Now you can copy all the contents from it or you can even copy the HTML content.

Now get a new post and paste that content back in the new post and all things are restored back.

This method is good and easy to apply just make sure that you are
not under the incognito mode to get this method right in the spot.

2) Recovering from RSS feeds(published).

As a Blogger user you may have used Feedburner as your RSS Feeds because it is free of cost.

Now you should also have your email in the email list so that you can recover your deleted blogger post means you should be subscribed.

Yet it has some sort of drawback that how you have set your RSS feed that do you get the entire post or some part of it for your subscribers.

If it is the half or a small portion of post that you are receiving then it's probably difficult to recover entire post this way.

And most probably you would have not set it in giving entire post to your subscribers because you also want them to come to your site

And giving such huge emails if your posts sometime touch 3000+ words mark, does also not makes any sense.

But although this method could also probably be a solution for some so I mentioned this and even sometimes if you can't get any of the method working then retrieving some small portion of your post would also be a good idea.

3) Using Google Cache (published).

Recall that yourself not being so high-end technical you are aware of the fact that Google bot (spider crawler) makes a get through every site on the INTERNET to get them indexed on its search page.

In this process it also makes through your pretty site and saves a cached version of your site so to put down all its algorithm and so to rank your site.

In this way we may access the deleted post (i.e. published) in google's cached version.

First type in your site name on the google search engine.

As your site appears click on it and go to your site.

Now if your site is frequently visited by Google crawler then I don't think that you might be able to recover way back contents even 2 days back posts also because google may update this changes and remove the deleted content from the cached version also.

So if you are trying to access posts in just recent that you might have got deleted then you can get it.

As you have made through your site, just search for your content and if you are lucky enough then you can find it right at the spot.

Just copy the content and paste it in a new post and its done.

4) Using Way2Back machine (published).

I think internet is full of lot of interesting ideas yet to explore and Way2Back machine is one such which can be of tremendous help for you in this situation.

It is like a huge archive that stores everything every second that enters the internet world.

And if the cached version of your site is gone from Google then you are fortunate because you will not find this single task any way a bit of difficult just as soon as you make through this archive...

Put on your Old deleted post URL and you will be fortunate to find it in wayback machine if your site is in the buisness for sometime.

And the deleted post is not that recent that Wayback machine had not any chance to archive it when your post was online.

I think we are fortunate to have Wayback type of machines working out there because it is such a beast and you could be easily baffled by looking at its statistics (trillions of Gigabyte to name a few).

I don't know why anyone is doing this for free but I appreciate the fact that it is running for our good and yours too.
